It is the policy of Fairwind shipmanagement to operate all managed vessels in the safest and most proper manner possible, ensuring that all managed vessels operate in accordance with:

  • shipowners' requirements.
  • design requirements.
  • flag state and class requirements.
  • charterers' requirements and most importantly the International Safety Management Code.

As part of our comprehensive ship management service, we allocate Technical Superintendents to groups of vessels to monitor the operation, performance and condition of the vessels including:

  • safe and efficient cargo handling and cargo conditioning.
  • planned and project maintenance.
  • regular condition assessment.
  • dry dock planning and supervision.
  • budget control.
  • certification and vetting.

Owners will be able to access reports and data regarding the running of their vessels. The aim is to provide the most transparent management system possible for shipowners requiring the very latest information about their vessels - be it of a technical, crew, accounting or other related nature.

FWSM management elements include: vessel supplies, insurances, customer services, travel services, crewing and legal department matters.
We will ensure that the vessel is manned with qualified and well-trained officers and ratings according to Owners’ wishes and requirements.
We attend to all crew related matters, such as recruitment and selection, labor/union relations , long terms planning and pool arrangements, mustering, travel arrangements, provision, allotments, budgeting and accounting.
